Why Acts 29?

About Acts 29
Acts 29 is a diverse, global community of now 684 churches (and counting!) in nearly 50 countries. We’re characterized by theological clarity, cultural engagement, and missional innovation. Because we believe church planting is the best way to make disciples of all nations, Acts 29 is committed to planting healthy, multiplying churches.

Why Church Planting?
We believe the church is God’s primary mission strategy on earth. Therefore, being faithful to the Great Commission’s call to make disciples means being passionate about church planting. Our focus on planting and nurturing faithful churches makes Acts 29 distinct. Local churches stand as a trusted presence in a community, offering hope and help amid trials and tragedies, proclaiming Christ, and seeing lives and communities transformed by his gospel and for his glory.
God’s glory in all the world is our motivation for global church planting. As we plant more healthy, multiplying churches, we advance Christ’s kingdom on earth. This is the beauty of church planting.

What Do We Believe?
We are aligned with historic evangelical confessionalism, and hold five core values:
Gospel centrality in all of life
The sovereignty of God in saving sinners
The work of the Holy Spirit for life and ministry
The equality of men and women and the principle of male servant leadership
The local church as God’s primary mission strategy

The Persevering Church of 2020
Come what may, Christ’s gospel goes forth, and the church perseveres. Despite the craziness of 2020, Acts 29 planted 25 new churches worldwide!
We’re a global community of disciple-makers. We pray, go, send, give, proclaim, train, assess, and support so more will know and worship Jesus Christ as his glory fills the earth. And the uncontainable glory of the Lord is spreading as we’ve reimagined what planting healthy, multiplying churches looks like.
